Green Living

Sustainability is Green Living.  Wikipedia defines sustainability as "the long term maintenance of well being that has environmental, economic, and social dimensions.", and that,  "It encompasses the concept of 'union' that implies an interdependency relationship and a mutual responsible position with all living and non living things on earth.".  Also, as you might remember, we have noted that it is a process for living.

At present many communities are struggling to overcome the downturn in the economy, business leaders and politicians struggle with decisions on what the best strategy is to stimulate economic growth and more jobs.

We propose Green Living.  By embracing a sustainable lifestyle you help yourself and you help your community. One example of this is recycling.  Many communities have embraced doing as much recycling as they can. This has lead to the creation of new industries and jobs, and has lead to cleaner greener communities. Another example would be the adoption of renewable energy policies wherein communities elect to decrease their use of fossil fuels overtime. By embracing Green Living you can unleash the potential for a tremendous amount of economic activity. This potential lies within each of us. In future blogs we will discuss  renewable energy production, water  conservation, high technology integration, green building, and sustainable activities as ways to unlock this potential.
